Portion of Wilson Pathway will be closed July 5 for maintenance by both city, irrigation district

Wilson Pathway

Starting Wednesday, July 5, a portion of Wilson Pathway, west of 12th Avenue, will be closed for maintenance of the Wilson Drain. Erosion of the drain will be repaired and debris will be removed for better water flow. This work will be conducted by Nampa and Meridian Irrigation District and will involve use of heavy equipment such as trucks and excavators.

Nampa Parks and Forestry will be working in the area prior to Nampa and Meridian Irrigation District to prune trees that provide clearance for equipment. The asphalt pathway will be covered with bark mulch to help protect the surface from damage. After the construction is complete the mulch will be removed from the pathway.

The pathway must be closed during the construction duration to ensure the public’s safety and allow work to progress quickly. No completion date for the work has been set but the pathway could be closed for several weeks.
