Memorial Day Ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at Kohlerlawn Cemetery

The city of Nampa will hold a Memorial Day Ceremony to honor the men and women who were in the service for our country and many who have made the supreme sacrifice of giving their lives so that we might live in freedom.

The one-hour ceremony begins at 10 a.m. May 29 at the Veteran’s Loop of Kohlerlawn Cemetery, 76 6th St. N. Nampa. Lt. Col. Ron Powell, Air Defense Artillery, US Army Reserve, will give the keynote speech.

Memorial Day Walking tours will be led by Larry Cain at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., starting at Veteran’s Loop. These tours give a brief narrative on Nampa’s Historic individuals. A shuttle will be provided for patrons who may have difficulty with the cemetery terrain.

Parking will be available in designated areas.  For more information please call 468-5797.
