Kelly Gibbons

Kelly is a native Idahoan, from Idaho Falls and has called Nampa home since 2004, where she has raised her four children.

Kelly is a proud University of Idaho alumnae where she received her bachelor’s degree and was selected to the University of Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame in its inaugural class of 100 athletes. Her master’s work was completed at the University of Kansas, in organizational communications.

Kelly was a career athletic coach for over 20 years, starting at Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., coaching both softball and volleyball at the age of 24. Upon moving back to Idaho in 1997, she continued to coach at both the college and high school level into last spring.

A passionate coach, teacher and motivator, Kelly began a second career in non-profit management. She connects passion with purpose and creates relationships which foster both. Currently, Kelly is the executive director for Wishgranters, a group that grants wishes to adults with terminal illness. She connects the community with families bravely dealing with terminal illness to create lasting memories for those left behind.

Kelly also serves on the board of directors for the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Coalition. Until its closing, she served on the board for the Syringa House in Nampa. Kelly is a volunteer with the Nampa Family Justice Center. She is a published author and an avid reader.

A big sports fan, she is very involved in her children’s activities as a spectator. Leisure activities include camping and riding her motorcycle.
