Timeline

Construction started April 13 and barring unforeseen circumstances should be complete by late June.

Impacts

The intersection of Idaho Center Boulevard and Cherry Lane was closed beginning Tuesday, May 2nd to install new water and irrigation lines. Motorists are being detoured to Ustick Road to the north and Birch Lane to the south. The closure will now last approximately three weeks. The additional closure will allow the contractor to complete boring at the intersection now - rather than closing the intersection a second time in a few weeks.

For the duration of the project motorists should plan to use alternate routes while crews work to improve the roadway. Signage will warn motorists of the closure. Local residents will continue to have access to their property.

Press Release

May 3, 2017 City of Nampa extends closure of intersection of Idaho Center Boulevard and Cherry Lane to avoid second closure in a few weeks.

Funding

In total, the project will cost $700,000.
